This so-called blogosphere is a big place – easy to get lost. I sort of lost my ambition to post but will give it another shot. I’ve found that I prefer to read than write. I’ve also found I prefer paste over gel.

Pheasant season opened this week. Unfortunately, we had a ton of rain this weekend which made the fields pretty sloppy. Once the out-of-staters do their thing, I plan to get out and shoot me some ditch parrot.

It’s April 10th, one week before opening day of turkey season, two weeks before my first kayak trip of the year, and there is an inch and a half of snow on the ground and ice on the banks of the river. Mother nature is teasing me.

We’re only weeks away from the 3rd Annual Manly-Man River Excursion. This year’s trip is once again planned during Memorial Day weekend. The first two years were spent in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, in southern Missouri. This year, since my family has relocated to South Dakota (hence the blog name), we’re looking at other options in the upper Midwest. Please leave a comment if you’ve got any suggestions!
